Buccal & Fascial Massage Therapy
At MICRO MVMT & HEALTH CO, we believe meaningful change often begins with addressing the areas of the body that are frequently overlooked. We're excited to introduce Buccal & Fascial Massage—a focused treatment designed to support the intricate relationship between the face, jaw, neck, and nervous system.
This intentional treatment combines Buccal (intra-oral) therapy, myofascial release, and restorative facial, scalp, and neck massage to help release deeply held muscular tension, improve tissue mobility, and restore ease of movement throughout the head, face, and jaw.
Every treatment is thoughtfully tailored to the individual. Whether you're experiencing jaw tension, teeth clenching, TMJ-related discomfort, stress-induced facial tightness, headaches, or simply seeking a restorative therapeutic experience, your care is guided by clinical assessment, your comfort level, and your personal wellness goals.
Using evidence-informed manual therapy techniques, this treatment is designed to be both therapeutic and deeply calming. Our focus extends beyond temporary relief—we aim to support healthy movement, encourage nervous system regulation, and create lasting improvements in how you feel within your body.
Important Treatment Considerations
To support your safety and achieve the best possible outcomes, we recommend waiting at least three weeks following Botox and six weeks following dermal filler treatments or medical peels before booking a Buccal & Fascial Massage.

What is Buccal Massage?
Buccal massage is an advanced manual therapy technique that combines traditional facial massage with gentle intraoral treatment to address the deeper muscles of the cheeks, jaw, and surrounding facial structures.
Unlike traditional facial massage, buccal massage allows the therapist to access muscles that cannot be effectively treated externally alone. By working both inside and outside the mouth (using appropriate gloves and clinical protocols), treatment may help reduce muscular tension while improving mobility and comfort throughout the jaw and face.
At MICRO MVMT & HEALTH, our philosophy extends beyond aesthetics. While many people seek buccal massage for its sculpting effects, our primary focus is supporting healthy movement, tissue mobility, and overall function.
Potential Benefits of Buccal Massage
Every patient responds differently, but buccal massage may help support:
Jaw tension and muscle tightness
TMJ-related muscular discomfort
Teeth clenching and bruxism
Facial muscle tension
Headaches associated with muscular tension
Neck and upper shoulder tightness
Scar tissue mobility
Facial circulation
Relaxation and nervous system regulation
Overall facial mobility and movement
Buccal massage is intended to complement—not replace—appropriate medical or dental care when indicated.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Traditional facial massage treats the muscles externally. Buccal massage combines external facial techniques with gentle intraoral treatment, allowing access to deeper muscles within the cheeks and jaw that cannot be reached from the outside alone.
-
Treatment should never feel overwhelming or intolerable. Some areas may feel tender if significant muscle tension is present, but treatments are always adapted to your comfort level.
-
When clinically appropriate and with your informed consent, gentle intraoral techniques may be incorporated. Appropriate infection prevention protocols, including medical gloves, are always followed.
-
Buccal massage may help reduce muscular tension associated with the jaw and surrounding tissues. Because TMJ disorders can have multiple contributing factors, treatment recommendations are individualized and may include referrals to other healthcare providers when appropriate.
-
No. While buccal massage has become popular for its aesthetic effects, our approach focuses primarily on supporting healthy movement, reducing muscular tension, improving tissue mobility, and promoting overall function.
