Meet Sonia Lalli, Registered Clinical Counsellor

COMPASSIONATE CARE

Thoughtful counselling for the emotional experiences that can accompany fertility, pregnancy, parenthood, relationships and everyday life.

Dr. Inderbir Sidhu is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with an extensive academic background in psychology and professional experience supporting individuals, couples, children, adolescents and families.

Her particular clinical interests include women’s mental health, fertility and IVF, pregnancy, postpartum adjustment and the transition into parenthood.

With previous experience working directly within a fertility and IVF setting, Inderbir understands that reproductive health can involve much more than the physical experience. Uncertainty, waiting, changing expectations, grief, relationship strain and the emotional weight of trying to grow a family can all become part of the journey.

Her approach provides space to process these experiences with compassion, perspective and individualized support.

APPROACH TO CARE

Counselling That Begins With Understanding You

Sometimes you know exactly what is weighing on you. Other times, you simply know that something feels different.

You may be feeling more anxious than usual. Emotionally exhausted. Struggling within a relationship. Finding it difficult to switch your mind off. Adjusting to a change you did not expect. Or perhaps you have been managing everything for so long that you are beginning to wonder where you fit within it all.

Dr. Sidhu creates space to explore these experiences without judgment or pressure to have everything figured out.

Her approach is collaborative and individualized, helping clients develop greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, behaviours, relationships, and recurring patterns. Depending on your needs, counselling may also introduce practical strategies for coping with difficult emotions and approaching challenges differently.

Her work may draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Choice Theory & Reality Therapy, Systems Theory, trauma-informed practice, and emotional regulation support.

The intention is not simply to talk about what is difficult.

It is to help you understand yourself more clearly and feel better equipped for what comes next.

EXPERIENCE CARE WITH INDERBIR

A Conversation With Purpose

For Dr. Sidhu, counselling begins with creating a relationship where you can speak openly and feel genuinely heard.

There is no expectation to arrive knowing exactly what to say or where to begin. Sessions can unfold gradually, giving you space to explore what feels important while Dr. Sidhu helps you recognize connections, patterns, and perspectives that may be difficult to see when you are navigating them alone.

Her extensive academic and professional background brings depth to this process, but her approach remains distinctly human.

Counselling may involve reflection. It may involve learning practical strategies. There may be difficult conversations, moments of realization, or simply the relief of finally putting something into words.

The experience is yours.

You bring your story. Dr. Sidhu brings the space, experience, and guidance to help you explore it.

BEYOND THE REASONS THAT BRING YOU HERE

Although women’s mental health, fertility, IVF, pregnancy and parenthood are important areas of interest within Inderbir’s practice, you do not need to be navigating one of these experiences to work with her.

Inderbir also provides individual counselling for broader emotional and everyday life concerns.

You may simply be feeling overwhelmed, experiencing a period of change, having difficulty coping with stress or wanting a confidential space to better understand what you are feeling.

Counselling does not always need to begin with a clearly defined problem.

Sometimes it begins with wanting support while figuring out what comes next.

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE

Finding Connection Beyond the Counselling Room

Outside of her work as a Registered Clinical Counsellor, Dr. Sidhu values the simple experiences that bring balance, creativity, and connection into everyday life. She enjoys baking, listening to music, travelling, and spending time in nature - each offering its own way to slow down, recharge, and remain connected to the world around her.

Baking gives her a creative outlet and an opportunity to enjoy the process of making something from beginning to end, while music offers a familiar way to unwind. Her love of travelling reflects a natural curiosity about new places, experiences, and perspectives, something that complements the open-minded and culturally responsive approach she brings to counselling.

Dr. Sidhu also appreciates the quiet that can come from connecting with nature. Whether exploring somewhere new or simply spending time outdoors, these moments offer an opportunity to step away from the demands of daily life and return to a greater sense of presence.

For Dr. Sidhu, well-being is not only something explored within the counselling room. It can also be nurtured through the everyday experiences that help us feel grounded, connected, and more present in our own lives.

It is this appreciation for balance, curiosity, and meaningful connection that she brings into her work with clients at MICRO MVMT & HEALTH CO.
