02 |
The information provided on this website is intended for general informational and educational purposes.
Website content is not intended to provide individualized:
Medical advice
Diagnosis
Treatment recommendations
Psychological or counselling advice
Emergency or crisis support
Insurance advice
Legal advice
Financial advice
Reading information on this website does not replace an appropriate assessment or consultation with a qualified healthcare professional.
Health concerns and individual circumstances vary. Information that may be appropriate generally may not be appropriate for your particular situation.
If you have questions about your health or whether a service may be appropriate for you, please speak with an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
NO PRACTITIONER-CLIENT RELATIONSHIP THROUGH WEBSITE USE
03 |
Visiting this website, reading its content, submitting a general inquiry or following MICRO on social media does not, by itself, establish a practitioner-patient, counsellor-client or other therapeutic relationship.
A professional care relationship is established only where appropriate requirements for the particular service and practitioner have been satisfied.
These may include:
Booking or accepting an appointment
Appropriate intake
Informed consent
Assessment
Practitioner acceptance of the individual into care
Other professional or administrative requirements
Practitioners remain responsible for determining whether a requested service falls within their professional scope and whether they are able to provide appropriate care.
HEALTH INFORMATION & INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
04 |
MICRO aims to provide website information that is thoughtful, accurate and appropriate.
However, healthcare is individualized.
Information describing a treatment, counselling approach, technique, modality or potential reason someone may seek care should not be interpreted as a promise, guarantee or prediction of a particular outcome.
Individual experiences and outcomes may vary based on factors such as:
Health history
Presenting concerns
Individual circumstances
Assessment findings
Treatment or counselling goals
Practitioner judgment
Frequency and duration of care
Response to care
A practitioner may determine that a particular treatment, technique or service is not appropriate for an individual even where that service is described on our website.
PRACTITIONER INFORMATION
05 |
Practitioner profiles are intended to help visitors understand a practitioner's:
Professional designation
Education and training
Clinical interests
Approach to care
Services offered
Professional background
Practitioners remain individually responsible for practising within the scope, standards and requirements applicable to their profession.
References to a practitioner's clinical interests, additional education or areas of focus are intended to describe their practice and should not necessarily be interpreted as a representation of specialist status or a guarantee that the practitioner is appropriate for every individual presenting with that concern.
Professional designations and credentials are presented according to the information available to MICRO and applicable professional requirements.
BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT
06 |
MICRO uses an online booking system to help patients and clients view availability and request or schedule appointments.
Booking availability may vary according to:
Practitioner schedules
Location
Service type
Appointment duration
Room availability
Whether a service is offered virtually or in person
Whether a practitioner is accepting new patients or clients
An appointment appearing online does not guarantee that every treatment, technique, insurance arrangement or requested accommodation will be appropriate or available.
Practitioners retain independent professional judgment regarding the services they provide.
Additional intake, consent or administrative requirements may need to be completed before an appointment.
JANE ONLINE BOOKING SYSTEM
07 |
MICRO currently uses Jane for online booking and practice management.
When you follow a booking link from microwellness.ca, you may be directed to a website or platform operated by Jane or another authorized service provider.
The use of those external platforms may be governed by their own:
Terms of use
Privacy policies
Security practices
Technical requirements
MICRO's Privacy Policy provides additional information about how personal information may be handled in connection with our services and approved technology.
VIRTUAL CARE & TELEHEALTH SERVICES
08 |
MICRO MVMT & HEALTH CO. provides and may continue to expand virtual healthcare and telehealth services, where appropriate and permitted.
Current and future virtual services may include services provided by appropriately qualified healthcare professionals, such as:
Registered Clinical Counsellors
Nurse Practitioners
Physiotherapists
Primary Healthcare Practitioners
Other regulated or qualified healthcare professionals who may join MICRO's multidisciplinary team
The availability of a profession or service may change over time. Reference to a potential or future healthcare profession in these Terms does not mean that the service is currently available through MICRO.
Please refer to our current Services, Our Team and online booking pages for services and practitioners presently available.
-
Virtual care is not appropriate for every health concern, patient or clinical situation.
The treating healthcare professional remains responsible for determining whether virtual care is appropriate within their individual professional scope, standards, licensing or registration requirements and clinical judgment.
Depending on the profession and circumstances, a practitioner may consider factors such as:
Your physical location at the time of the appointment
The nature of your health concern
Whether a physical examination is necessary
Privacy and confidentiality
Technology and internet reliability
Patient safety
Clinical risk
Professional standards
Jurisdictional requirements
Whether in-person assessment or another healthcare service would be more appropriate
A practitioner may recommend, require or refer you for in-person care where virtual care is not appropriate or sufficient.
Booking a virtual appointment does not guarantee that your concern can be fully assessed, diagnosed or managed virtually.
-
You may be asked to confirm your physical location at the beginning of a virtual appointment.
The healthcare professional must be permitted to provide the applicable service to a patient or client located in that jurisdiction.
For this reason, the availability of virtual healthcare services may depend on where you are physically located at the time care is provided, rather than simply your permanent home address.
Some MICRO virtual services may therefore only be available to individuals located in British Columbia, while other services may have different geographic requirements depending on the profession and practitioner.
-
Virtual care involves electronic communication and may use approved technology for:
Video appointments
Secure messaging
Intake and consent
Appointment scheduling
Clinical documentation
Prescriptions or referrals, where within the practitioner's professional authority
Sharing appropriate healthcare information
Other functions required to support virtual care
Although MICRO and its practitioners take reasonable steps to use appropriate technologies and safeguards, electronic communication cannot eliminate every privacy, security or technical risk.
Additional informed consent may be required before receiving virtual healthcare services.
Our Privacy Policy provides further information about electronic communication and the handling of personal and health information.
TELUS HEALTH & OTHER VIRTUAL CARE PLATFORMS
09 |
As MICRO expands its virtual healthcare services, certain appointments or healthcare functions may be delivered or supported through TELUS Health or another approved third-party healthcare technology platform.
Depending on the service and platform being used, these technologies may support functions such as:
Virtual healthcare appointments
Patient registration
Appointment scheduling
Intake forms and questionnaires
Secure messaging
Video consultations
Clinical information
Prescriptions, referrals, laboratory or imaging requests where clinically appropriate and within the practitioner's professional authority
Other healthcare or administrative functions
TELUS Health documentation confirms that its healthcare technologies may facilitate virtual visits and other patient-provider interactions, while healthcare providers retain responsibilities relating to the healthcare they provide and the protection of patient information.
-
Where you access care through TELUS Health or another third-party platform, your use of that platform may also be subject to the provider's own:
Terms and conditions
Privacy notices
Consent requirements
Account requirements
Security practices
Eligibility requirements
Technical requirements
These third-party terms operate separately from MICRO's Terms of Use.
You may therefore be required to create an account, provide information, complete additional consent or agree to platform-specific terms before accessing a virtual service.
-
A technology platform and the healthcare professional providing your care may have different roles and responsibilities.
The availability of technology through TELUS Health or another platform does not itself determine:
Whether a particular healthcare service is clinically appropriate
Whether a diagnosis can be made virtually
Whether medication can or should be prescribed
Whether a referral, laboratory test or imaging request is appropriate
Whether in-person assessment is required
Whether a service is available in your jurisdiction
Whether a service is covered by insurance
Those determinations remain subject to the treating healthcare professional's scope of practice, professional judgment and applicable requirements.
MICRO does not guarantee the uninterrupted availability, functionality or performance of a third-party virtual care platform.
EMERGENCY & URGENT CARE
10 |
MICRO's website and virtual healthcare services are not emergency-response services.
Do not rely on:
Online booking
Virtual appointments
Email
Voicemail
Contact forms
Social media
Routine clinic communications
for immediate assistance during a medical, mental health or safety emergency.
If you believe you or another person is experiencing an immediate medical emergency or is in immediate danger, contact 911 or the appropriate emergency service where you are located.
If you require urgent medical or mental health assistance, seek an appropriate urgent-care, crisis or emergency service available in your location.
A virtual healthcare appointment should not delay necessary emergency or urgent medical attention.
FEES, PRICING & SERVICE INFORMATION
11 |
MICRO aims to keep service descriptions and pricing information current.
However, fees, appointment lengths, service availability and other clinic information may be updated periodically.
Unless otherwise stated, prices displayed by MICRO are in Canadian dollars (CAD).
Where there is a discrepancy between general website information and the current information presented during booking or communicated directly by the clinic, please contact MICRO for clarification before your appointment.
Fees and payment requirements applicable to an appointment will be governed by the information provided for that service and applicable clinic policies.
INSURANCE & BILLING INFORMATION
12 |
Information on this website about extended health benefits, direct billing or third-party coverage is provided for general convenience.
Direct billing is a courtesy and is not a guarantee of coverage or payment.
Coverage is determined by the individual's insurance provider and specific benefit plan.
MICRO does not control:
Eligibility
Benefit limits
Deductibles
Co-payments
Plan exclusions
Coordination of benefits
Insurer processing requirements
Claim approval or denial
Reimbursement timelines
Patients and clients are responsible for understanding their individual insurance coverage and for amounts not paid by their insurer, subject to the applicable service and clinic policies.
RETENTION & SECURE DISPOSAL
13 |
Our website may contain links to websites, booking systems, virtual care platforms, social media platforms, insurers, professional organizations, educational resources or other services operated by third parties.

Third-party websites may have their own terms, privacy policies and accessibility practices.
Visitors should review those policies when appropriate.
