Youth Counselling
Supporting For Growing, Changing & Finding Your Way
Growing Up Comes With a Lot
There isn't one reason a young person might benefit from counselling.
School can become overwhelming. Friendships change. Family relationships can feel complicated. Confidence can shift. Expectations grow, and emotions don't always come with an explanation.
Sometimes a young person simply needs somewhere outside of home or school where they can talk openly.
At MICRO MVMT & HEALTH CO., Youth & Adolescent Counselling creates space for young people to explore what they're experiencing with a counsellor who listens without rushing to define the problem.
The goal isn't to have all the answers.
It's to create space to understand what's happening and what may help moving forward.
WHAT YOUTH COUNSELLING CAN LOOK LIKE
Counselling isn't about telling a young person what to think or how they should feel.
It creates room to explore.
Talk & Be Heard
Have conversations without needing to immediately solve or explain everything.
Understand & Explore
Begin recognizing emotions, experiences, relationships, and patterns that may be affecting everyday life.
Develop and Grow
Explore practical strategies, communication skills, coping approaches, and personal strengths that can support them beyond the counselling room.
Understand Emotions
Develop greater awareness of emotions and what may be contributing to them.
Build Confidence
Explore self-esteem, identity, strengths, and the experiences shaping how a young person sees themselves.
Navigate Change
Create space to process transitions at home, school, within friendships, or in other areas of life.

SOMETIMES IT’S ABOUT MORE THAN WHAT’S HAPPENING ON THE SURFACE
-
Sometimes changes are easy to notice.
A young person may become quieter, more frustrated, worried, withdrawn, overwhelmed, or simply seem unlike themselves.
Other times, there may be nothing obviously "wrong."
Youth counselling provides an opportunity to look beyond what's happening on the surface and understand the experiences, emotions, relationships, or pressures that may be contributing.
A Registered Clinical Counsellor can help create space for those conversations while supporting the young person in finding approaches that make sense for them.
WHAT MIGHT BRING A YOUNG PERSON TO COUNSELLING?
-
There doesn't need to be a crisis to reach out.
Youth and adolescent counselling may provide support around:
Stress or feeling overwhelmed
Anxiety and worry
School pressures
Self-esteem and confidence
Friendships and peer relationships
Family relationships
Communication
Emotional regulation
Identity and self-discovery
Life transitions and change
Grief and loss
Separation or changes within the family
Bullying or social challenges
Adjusting to new environments or experiences
What matters to one young person may look very different from what matters to another.
