Meet Jamie-Lynn Ravensbergen
Massage Student - Bodyworker
A FOUNDATION BUILT ON CARING FOR OTHERS
Long before beginning her journey into massage therapy, Jamie-Lynn found herself in roles centred around caring for people and creating meaningful experiences. Whether welcoming individuals as a receptionist, serving her community as a Worship Coordinator, working as a baker, or expressing creativity through music, each experience strengthened her natural ability to connect with others through compassion, presence, and genuine care.
These experiences continue to shape the way she approaches every patient interaction—with warmth, attentiveness, and a commitment to helping others feel comfortable, supported, and heard.
A PASSION FOR WOMENS HEALTH
Jamie-Lynn has a growing passion for supporting women's health and is dedicated to providing thoughtful, patient-centred care throughout every stage of her program.
She believes healthcare begins with listening. By taking the time to understand each individual's unique experiences, goals, and concerns, Jamie-Lynn strives to create a safe and welcoming environment where patients feel respected, empowered, and actively involved in their care.
Her goal is to help patients move with greater comfort, better understand their bodies, and experience the lasting benefits that massage therapy can have on both physical and overall well-being.
EVIDENCE-BASED & TRAUMA-INFORMED CARE
Currently completing the Registered Massage Therapy program at Rhodes Wellness College, Jamie-Lynn is developing her clinical knowledge through an education grounded in current research, critical thinking, and evidence-informed practice.
She is committed to providing care through a trauma-informed lens, recognizing that every patient brings their own experiences and comfort levels into the treatment room. By combining clinical reasoning with empathy, she aims to create treatments that feel both effective and supportive while adapting each session to the individual's needs and goals.
INSIRED BY THE IMPACT MASSAGE THERAPY CAN MAKE
Having personally experienced the positive impact of massage therapy, Jamie-Lynn understands how transformative thoughtful, hands-on care can be. Those experiences inspired her to pursue a career where she could provide that same sense of relief, confidence, and support to others.
As a Student Massage Therapist, she is passionate about helping individuals feel more connected to their health, recover from the demands of everyday life, and improve their overall quality of movement. She looks forward to serving the Langley community with compassionate, evidence-informed care while continuing to grow as a future Registered Massage Therapist.
CLINICAL FOCUS
As a Student Massage Therapist, Jamie-Lynn is passionate about supporting individuals through evidence-informed, patient-centred care. While continuing to build her clinical knowledge and hands-on skills, she has a particular interest in women's health and helping patients better understand the connection between movement, stress, and overall well-being.
Her clinical interests include supporting patients experiencing:
Everyday muscle tension and postural discomfort
Stress-related tension and nervous system regulation
Women's health and wellness
General mobility and movement restrictions
Recovery from the physical demands of work, exercise, and daily life
Preventative and maintenance-focused massage therapy
Jamie-Lynn believes that meaningful care begins with listening. She takes a collaborative approach to treatment, creating a safe, welcoming environment where each patient feels respected, supported, and actively involved in their care. Her goal is to help patients move more comfortably, feel more connected to their bodies, and experience the long-term benefits of consistent massage therapy as part of their overall health and wellness journey.
OUTSIDE THE CLINIC
Outside of the clinic, Jamie-Lynn enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, serving within her church community, and expressing her creativity through music. She naturally gravitates toward meaningful connection and finds joy in caring for others—qualities that continue to shape the way she approaches both life and patient care.
While she happily embraces her homebody side, Jamie-Lynn also enjoys opportunities to get outside and recharge in nature. Whether she's hiking local trails, exploring the outdoors, or simply enjoying time outside, she appreciates the balance that movement and fresh air bring to both physical and mental well-being.
She is also an avid cat lover and has a special appreciation for the comfort, companionship, and calming presence animals can provide. Those quiet moments of connection have reinforced her belief that healing often begins with feeling safe, cared for, and supported.
Jamie-Lynn believes that health extends beyond addressing physical discomfort. Meaningful relationships, movement, rest, time in nature, and self-care all contribute to long-term well-being. These values naturally align with her approach to massage therapy, where her goal is to create a welcoming, supportive environment and help each patient feel heard, comfortable, and cared for throughout their wellness journey.
